Got up early, 5 AM, to get to work early. Walked through the snow with my MMA gear and caught an early train; in the office about 6:45.Long busy day. Hoped to leave work in time to meet my wife for a light dinner before training; no luck. Hoped to leave work early enough to make it to the first of two classes; no luck. Now on the way to the second, 8:15 class. Then it's back home to crash. TGIF.

BobSpar,
I just found your blog, if you also "own" the blog, I see your started BJJ 10 years ago.
I just started BJJ at 43, and I really like it.
Can you give advice on how to strengthen the rest of my body, so I can withstand the challenges of class?
I have been thinking of using kettlebells to strengthen my legs.
Thanks,
Chris

Life is full of good intentions....Better luck next time!
Christopher, glad you're enjoying BJJ; I do some grappling but it's not technically a BJJ school. Steve's BJJ at http://www.stevebjj.com/ is an excellent BJJ blog. I'm sure kettlebells would be good for strength, though you have to be sure you have the right posture when using them so you don't hurt your back. Enjoy!
Sue, thanks, I remember when somebody told me that you make a plan for exercise, and when it doesn't work, you just keep trying.
